The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC) is sponsored by the American Heart Association and follows a hybrid learning model. Learners complete a self-directed online module (4-6 hours) and then attend a skill testing session at the Center for Simulation & Research.
**The Simulation Center is no longer distributing physical PALS Reference Cards. A PDF copy of the 2025 PALS Reference Card is included below for your reference. We are currently updating the CCHMC website and crash carts to reflect the 2025 science updates and expect this process to be completed by the end of March.**

The course is designed for healthcare providers to manage respiratory and/or cardiovascular emergencies in pediatric patients. There is no longer a distinction between initial certification and renewal courses.

CCHMC employees can not register more than 6 months prior to their expiratoin date. If you would like to renew earlier than this, please reach out to the Simulation Center. Departments will be charged for early renewals.
